The Problem
Hard floors. Stiff soles.
Your body absorbs every step.
Your feet evolved for soft, uneven ground — forest floors, grasslands, sand. Every muscle and joint was designed for surfaces that give.
Modern life put concrete, tile, and asphalt beneath your feet. Conventional shoes sealed them in rigid boxes. Your joints take the impact. Your stabilising muscles atrophy. Back pain, knee pain, and fatigue become background noise you learn to live with.
The Origin
A Swiss engineer walked barefoot through a rice paddy. His back pain disappeared.
Karl Muller, Dipl. Ing. ETH, suffered from chronic back and joint pain for years. Nothing helped — until South Korea. Walking barefoot on soft, waterlogged paddies, his body began to heal. The unstable ground activated forgotten muscles. Each step was cushioned. Each stride, therapeutic.
He returned to Switzerland and spent years engineering a sole that recreates that sensation anywhere — a pocket of air that turns any hard surface into soft ground.

How It Works
The Air Cushion Sole.
Airolo Moon Rock Soft-Elastic Sole
Yields under each step like a forest floor. Shock is absorbed before it reaches your joints and spine.
Natural Instability
The rounded surface engages stabilising muscles in your feet, legs, and core — with every single step.
Rebound Energy
The air cushion stores and returns energy. Less fatigue on long walks. Less strain when standing.
What Changes
Six things you'll feel.
Back Pain Relief
Shock absorption reduces spinal compression with every step.
Joint Protection
Soft landing cuts impact forces by up to half.
Better Posture
Active muscles correct your alignment — no rigid supports needed.
Stronger Feet
Micro-movements rebuild muscles that rigid shoes let atrophy.
Circulation
Active walking pumps blood more effectively through your legs.
All-Day Comfort
Air adapts to any surface. Tile, concrete, cobblestone — it doesn't matter.
"From a medical perspective, I recommend the kybun shoe especially for patients who have postural faults or knee problems."

Provenance
Made in Sennwald,
Switzerland.
Most kybun shoes are manufactured in Sennwald, in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, where cutting-edge technology meets traditional shoemaking craftsmanship.
